Professional Headshots: In-Studio & On-Location in South Jersey

Your professional portrait is often one of the first introductions someone has to you.

Before a potential client schedules a meeting, a recruiter reads your résumé, a customer visits your business, or someone connects with you on LinkedIn, they may already have formed an impression based on the portrait representing you online.

That makes a professional headshot much more than a profile picture. It's an important part of your personal brand, professional presence, and the way you communicate confidence and credibility.

At Lisa Mongulla Photography, I love working with business professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, real estate professionals, actors, models, and teams throughout Westampton, Burlington County, South Jersey, New Jersey, and the Philadelphia area. Whether you need a quick head-and-shoulders portrait or a more extensive personal branding experience with multiple looks and locations, I offer several professional headshot sessions designed around different goals.

And because every professional has different needs, your session can take place in my Westampton studio, outdoors, at your office or business, or another location that complements your brand.

Why Your Professional Headshot Matters

Think about all the places your portrait might appear:

  • LinkedIn and professional networking profiles
  • Company websites and team pages
  • Business cards
  • Email signatures
  • Social media
  • Marketing and advertising
  • Press releases and media kits
  • Speaking engagements
  • Professional directories
  • Real estate marketing
  • Casting profiles and portfolios
  • Print and digital publications

A strong professional headshot creates consistency across these different touchpoints while helping people connect a face with your name and expertise.

For businesses, professional portraits also contribute to the company's larger visual identity. Consistent, thoughtfully created team headshots can communicate professionalism, credibility, approachability, and attention to detail before a prospective customer ever speaks with someone on your team. Lisa's existing corporate headshot work similarly emphasizes the role cohesive team portraits play in strengthening a company's visual identity.

Learn how we elevate Your Brand with On-Location Corporate Headshots

In-Studio or On-Location: Which Headshot Is Right for You?

One of the first decisions we'll make is where your professional headshots should be created.

Neither option is inherently better. The right choice depends on your profession, personal brand, intended use, and the message you want your portraits to communicate.

In-Studio Professional Headshots

An in-studio headshot session gives us a controlled environment where lighting, backgrounds, posing, and other details can be carefully refined.

Studio portraits are especially effective when you need a polished, timeless headshot for LinkedIn, your company website, business cards, professional directories, marketing materials, or other uses where a clean and consistent presentation is important.

They're also convenient when you're looking for a focused session without the additional logistics of selecting an outside location.

On-Location Headshots

Sometimes your environment is part of your professional story.

An on-location headshot session can take place at your office, workplace, commercial property, outdoors, or another setting connected to your brand.

Imagine a real estate professional photographed in a beautiful property or neighborhood, an entrepreneur inside the business they've built, or an executive photographed within a contemporary office environment.

Instead of simply showing what you look like, an environmental portrait can provide context about who you are, what you do, and the type of experience clients can expect from you.

For companies, Lisa Mongulla Photography can also bring a professional mobile studio directly to the workplace, including professional lighting and backdrops. This makes it possible to create a consistent collection of portraits without requiring the entire staff to travel to a studio.

Professional Headshots That Reflect Where You Are Today

Whether you're an entrepreneur, small business owner, real estate professional, actor, or model, your professional portrait plays an important role in how people see and connect with you. For entrepreneurs and business owners, you are often the face of your brand, and having a variety of portraits gives you fresh imagery for your website, LinkedIn, social media, speaking engagements, email marketing, advertising, and other content. Real estate professionals need that same versatility across business cards, yard signs, listing presentations, websites, and marketing, with portraits that balance professionalism and approachability. Actors and models may need even greater variety in expression, styling, and personality to represent themselves for different opportunities. Depending on your goals, we can create a timeless in-studio professional headshot, incorporate an on-location or environmental setting, or expand the experience into personal branding photography that showcases your workspace, business, services, or other elements of your professional story.

Just as your career evolves, your professional image should evolve with it. If you've changed your appearance, stepped into a new role, launched or rebranded a business, expanded your services, joined a new company, or simply realized your current headshot no longer looks or feels like you, it may be time for an update. Your portrait should represent the person clients, colleagues, casting professionals, or prospective employers will meet today, not who you were five or ten years ago. Whether you need one polished headshot or a more diverse collection of professional portraits, we'll create imagery that reflects your personality, communicates confidence, and supports where you're going next.

Three Professional Headshot Experiences

Not every professional needs the same type of headshot experience. You may simply need one polished portrait to update your LinkedIn profile or company website, or you may want multiple looks and greater variety for your personal brand, marketing, social media, and other professional uses. That's why Lisa Mongulla Photography offers three Professional Headshot Experiences, each providing a different amount of time, variety, and flexibility.

The Essential Headshot Session | Up to 30 Minutes

The Essential Headshot Session is a streamlined studio experience for professionals who need a polished head-and-shoulders portrait without a more extensive session. In up to 30 minutes at my Westampton studio, we'll create a professional portrait that's ideal for LinkedIn, company profiles, professional networking sites, business cards, marketing materials, and other print or digital media. The session includes one outfit, one studio background, and an online proofing gallery of approximately 5–10 images. You'll select your favorite portrait to be professionally retouched and delivered as a high-resolution digital file with reproduction rights for marketing purposes.

If you'd prefer an outdoor or environmental setting, the Essential Headshot Session can also be upgraded to an outdoor or on-location session of up to 60 minutes for an additional fee. Studio sessions extending beyond the included 30 minutes are available for an additional fee per 30 minutes.

The Signature Headshot Session | Up to 60 Minutes

For professionals who want more variety, the Signature Headshot Session gives us up to 60 minutes to explore different expressions, poses, wardrobe choices, and styles. It's an excellent option for entrepreneurs, business professionals, actors, models, and anyone who needs a versatile collection of portraits for professional and social networking, websites, marketing materials, and print or digital media.

Your Signature Session can take place in the studio, on location, or include a combination of both within the 60-minute session, with time for one to three looks or outfits. After your session, you'll receive a private online proofing gallery where you can choose three portraits to be professionally retouched and delivered as high-resolution digital files with reproduction rights for marketing purposes. Additional professionally retouched portraits and poses may also be purchased.

The Headshot Experience Session | Up to 90 Minutes

For those looking for the most comprehensive experience, the Headshot Experience Session provides up to 90 minutes to create a diverse collection of professional portraits designed around you and your personal brand. The additional time gives us greater freedom to explore different expressions, poses, wardrobe changes, styles, and environments, making this an ideal choice for entrepreneurs, executives, real estate professionals, actors, models, and others who need a broader library of professional imagery.

The Headshot Experience can take place in the studio, on location, or incorporate both within the 90-minute session, with time for one to four different looks or outfits. You'll receive a private online proofing gallery and select six portraits for professional retouching and delivery as high-resolution digital files with reproduction rights for marketing purposes. Additional professionally retouched portraits and poses are also available for purchase.

With the added variety of the Headshot Experience, you'll have a collection of portraits you can use strategically across your website, LinkedIn profile, social media, marketing campaigns, business materials, press opportunities, and other print and digital platforms—helping you maintain a polished, professional presence without relying on the same headshot everywhere.

What Should You Wear for Professional Headshots?

Your wardrobe should support your professional identity rather than distract from it.

What works for a corporate executive may be very different from what works for a creative entrepreneur, actor, real estate professional, or model. That's why I don't believe there's one universal "headshot outfit."

Instead, think about how you want to be perceived and where your portraits will appear.

If your profession calls for a formal presentation, a suit, jacket, dress, or other polished wardrobe may be appropriate. If your brand is more approachable or creative, a less formal look may better represent you.

For sessions that include multiple outfits, we can also create variety intentionally. One look might be polished and executive, another more approachable and conversational, and another reflective of your individual style.

The goal isn't to dress like someone else.

It's to create the strongest professional version of you.

Seamless Planning with a Pre-Session Consultation

A successful professional headshot begins before session day.

For commercial and corporate headshot projects, we'll schedule a pre-session consultation so we can understand your goals and make intentional decisions about the experience.

We'll discuss:

✅ Your brand's tone and image goals
✅ How the headshots will be used—LinkedIn, website, press kits, marketing and more
✅ What you or your team should wear
✅ The best locations at your office, indoors or outdoors
✅ Background and visual consistency
✅ Scheduling logistics
✅ Delivery expectations and timeline

For larger teams, this planning becomes especially valuable. We can determine how employees will move through the session, establish a consistent portrait style, and make sure the finished collection aligns with your existing visual brand.

My goal is to help you walk into session day with complete clarity—and walk away with professional portraits that elevate your brand.

On-Location Corporate Headshots for Your Team

When an entire organization needs updated headshots, asking every employee to independently schedule a studio appointment isn't always practical. That's why Lisa Mongulla Photography offers on-location corporate headshots and mobile studio services, bringing the professional portrait experience directly to your office or another location of your choosing.

With professional lighting, backgrounds, posing guidance, and a consistent approach, we can create polished, cohesive portraits for executive and leadership teams, law firms, financial and consulting firms, medical and healthcare practices, real estate brokerages, sales organizations, professional service firms, corporate offices, small businesses, and growing companies—all while minimizing disruption to the workday.

The result is a unified collection of professional headshots that strengthens your company's visual identity across your Meet the Team page, company website, LinkedIn profiles, press materials, internal communications, and marketing campaigns.

And your team doesn't stop changing once the initial session is complete. As new employees join your organization, maintaining the same lighting, background, crop, and overall portrait style helps keep your professional image consistent rather than creating a team page filled with headshots from different photographers, locations, and time periods.

That's why I can also provide ongoing corporate headshots throughout the year as you hire. Once we've established the look and style for your organization, new team members can be photographed to complement your existing portraits, helping your company maintain a polished, professional, and cohesive visual presence as it continues to grow.

What Clients Are Saying

A professional headshot session is about more than creating a polished portrait. It’s also about feeling comfortable, confident, and genuinely like yourself in front of the camera.

Many of the professionals I work with tell me they’re not completely comfortable being photographed, and that’s perfectly normal. You don’t need to know how to pose, where to look, or what expression works best. I’ll guide you throughout your session, paying attention to posing, expression, lighting, wardrobe, and the small details that help create a portrait that feels both professional and authentic.

Whether you’re updating a single LinkedIn headshot, creating a collection of portraits for your personal brand, or coordinating professional headshots for an entire team, my goal at Lisa Mongulla Photography is to make the experience relaxed, efficient, and enjoyable from beginning to end.

The finished portrait is important, but so is the experience of creating it. Here’s what clients have shared about working with Lisa Mongulla Photography:

"I needed some fresh, updated headshots for real estate. I was recommended to Lisa by someone I trust. I could not have asked for a more positive experience. On our initial call, Lisa explained the procedure. We then collaborated on ideas. The shoot went smoothly and as I had expected. If you are camera shy (I am not), Lisa will put you at ease. I highly recommend Lisa as a photographer and a professional."

— Gina A.

"We needed headshots and some branding photos done for our new website. I am so glad I called Lisa. She did an absolutely amazing job. She worked with the 3 of us to capture our brand. She knew what shots would work best along with a few props. I definitely recommend her and will be calling her for more work in the the future. You are in good hands with Lisa!"

— Debbie H.

"Lisa Mongulla Photography is indeed the absolute best person for your professional/corporate headshot. I was extremely pleased to work with her. Lisa is very professional, an expert, and provides a sense of ease throughout the entire photographic session. The studio is easy to get to, clean, and provides the right atmosphere for photographing. She was very helpful in preparing for the day by providing tips on how to dress, colors, hair and makeup (if needed). Lisa will pose you in all the ways that provide the best photo. I really had no idea as to how this was going to work initially, but Lisa was very reassuring and made the entire session fun! If you want a professional headshot, Lisa Mongulla Photography is the right person for you!"

— MaryAnn

I'm grateful for every professional, entrepreneur, business owner, actor, model, and organization that trusts me to create portraits that reflect not only what they look like, but who they are, what they do, and how they want to be seen.

Professional Headshot FAQs

1. Should I choose an in-studio or on-location headshot session?

An in-studio headshot offers a clean, polished look that's ideal for LinkedIn, company websites, and marketing materials. An on-location headshot adds personality and context by incorporating your office, workplace, or another environment that reflects your professional brand.

2. How often should I update my professional headshot?

Your headshot should represent who you are today. Consider updating it when your appearance changes, you begin a new role, launch or rebrand a business, update your website, or simply feel your current portrait no longer reflects your professional image.

3. What should I wear for a professional headshot?

Choose clothing that reflects your profession, personal brand, and how you want to be perceived. Depending on your session, you may also bring multiple outfits to create different looks for your website, LinkedIn, social media, and marketing.

4. Can you photograph our entire team at our office?

Yes! Lisa Mongulla Photography offers on-location corporate headshots for entire teams at a location of your choosing, with special group pricing available. This makes it easy to create consistent, professional portraits for your company.

5. Can new employees get matching headshots later?

Absolutely. I can provide ongoing headshots throughout the year as you hire, helping new employees match your established headshot style and keeping your company's visual brand polished and consistent.
