Client Spotlight: Sophia’s Simplicity Session with Family & Fur Babies

Sophia chose the Simplicity Senior Session, and it turned out to be a heartfelt experience full of love, laughter, and even a few wagging tails.

With her mom by her side, their beloved dogs joining in, and a special touch that made the session even more meaningful—honoring her grandmother’s presence in a heartfelt way—Sophia’s session was everything she hoped for: comfortable, easy, and full of personality.

The Simplicity Senior Session

But for Sophia and her mom, Michele, it was about so much more than checking something off a to-do list. It was about celebrating her senior year together, creating memories with their beloved dogs, and giving Sophia an experience that made her feel seen and confident.

“Yes, she had the Shawnee graduation gown and accessories and made everything super easy.” – Sophia

And Michele loved watching Sophia relax and shine in front of the camera:

“Seeing my daughter’s face during the shoot… she had so much fun, felt so special, and it was just what I had hoped it would be. I have memories in photos that will last a lifetime!” – Michele

Session Day Highlights

As a NJ Senior and Family Photographer, I know that senior portrait sessions can bring a mix of excitement and nerves. For Sophia and Michele, it was no different.

Before the Session

Even though Sophia was excited for her photos, she admitted she felt a little nervous at first:

“I was feeling very nervous and awkward!” – Sophia

Her mom felt the same mix of emotion:

“Nervous and excited. My daughter can be shy at times. I wanted this experience to be very easy for her and memorable celebrating her graduation!” – Michele

As we moved through the session, those initial nerves quickly gave way to a relaxed, comfortable flow that made everything feel natural.

“I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Lisa made me feel like this was all about me and making me feel my best!!” – Sophia

Her mom loved seeing that transformation happen:

“My daughter quickly relaxed and had a great time… She loved seeing the photos right away. And if she didn’t like something, Lisa took more! The session at our home was incredible!” – Michele

Favorite Moments

When asked about her favorite part of the day, Sophia didn’t hesitate:

“I loved how comfortable she made me feel and I loved all the outfit changes she let me do when we did the photos at my house. She just really did anything I wanted!” – Sophia

Her mom shared one of her own favorite memories:

“Seeing my daughter’s face during the shoot… she had so much fun, felt so special, and it was just what I had hoped it would be. I also liked that we took some family photos too and even with the dogs. I have memories in photos that will last a lifetime!” – Michele

What's Next...

Sophia’s journey doesn’t end here—she’s heading to the University of Delaware to pursue Accounting.

Her mom is thrilled to see what’s ahead:

“We loved every minute and hope to have Lisa down to college in four years!” – Michele
